You have the right to who would care for your kids in an emergency. Make sure your voice is heard. If you think it would be hard to choose someone, think how hard it would be for a judge to get it right for you.
- Choose a guardian for your child/children in case you are unable to care for them yourself for an extended period of time.
- If your preferred guardian is not in California, it’s even more important that you put your wishes in writing.
