—Provide structure and guidance around assets left to young children so that they have a chance to gain financial knowledge and experience before receiving unrestricted access to their inheritance.
—Prevent people from getting kicked off of critical medical benefits upon inheriting a modest amount of assets, by including comprehensive provisions in the estate plans intended to benefit them.
—Help blended families provide clear guidance and minimize tension and heartache amongst family members.
—Reduce and even eliminate the intimidation, overwhelm, confusion, and fear often associated with wills and trusts, and frankly, lawyers and the need to seek legal advice. It is no accident that our legal system provokes these feelings, and we are working to change that. Access to legal advice is essential, and only truly exists when we remove those barriers as well as more visible ones.

To that end, we offer high-quality lower-cost DIY options, and support the work of Open Door Legal, an organization founded by fellow University of San Francisco School of Law alums, which provides low cost legal services to the most vulnerable members of our community, and is revolutionizing universal access to legal representation.
